We want to extend a loud Happy New Year to our former (but not forgotten) friends and familiar faces who moved on or back to somewhere.

People like Dana and Stu, Frank (yo Frannnn-kie!), Tom and his wife, and many others who always added to our game days.

And our email pals from Philadelphia, city of, and Delaware and NJ, you're also in our thoughts as we bring in a new decade. You helped us grow into one of the best Eagles clubs ever.

We ain't forgotchu, so drop us a line or stop in if and when, ok?

For those among us who went to the Flyers game on Dec. 23rd we had another present, a classic 5 - 2 win over the TB Lightning.

The Flyers played a quick game, leading in shots on goal in the frist period. The Lightning played hard, getting a 2 - 2 tie at the end of the second period. The Flyers came back, jumping out to 4 - 2 and then scoring an empty net goal in the final minute.

Congrats Flyers!

There was a good crowd. Hockey is alive here in Tampa. We'll see if we can keep our pal Tommy Gilbert on task with Tampadelphia specials and game tickets for our raffle prizes.

The Eagles are in the playoffs! We might as well think about that now.

Our nest is ready with plans and prep. We may stay in the Pub or we may go into one of the larger conference rooms. Rest assured, we will see the game on large screens, with our usual hot buffet and passionate crowd. New prizes are being readied to extend our fun as we go through the playoffs.

Our hosts at Players Pub at the DoubleTree want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and also extend thanks for all your support and friendship throughout these crazy 16 games.

Please take a moment this weekend and let Brian, Justin, Sprite, Melissa, Jolita and all the others know if they did a good job for you. All too often we forget that without them we'd be back where we were once before, in a back room, waiting for your order, sweating in the dark. They work for us so we're happy with them and the service, so just an attaboy will go far.

Game Day Note!!

The 1 pm game this Sunday against "them" (I cannot say that name but you know of that team above Mexico) has been moved to 4 pm.

Come early, it's a major division game against the evil team. We expect a good crowd and alot of Eagles passion.

The DoubleTree will have plenty of extra chairs ready for our all-Eagles crowd of diehards.

At the start of the season we mentioned our 2nd raffle, an ongoing weekly chance to buy a winning ticket for an authentic team jersey. We were going to pull that winner out of our famous Utz jug the next to last game of the season, and we did.

The winning number is a blue ticket, # 594123.

Who has it? Dunno, but we did not have a winner in the room when it was announced.

Before the last game of the season starts, let me take a moment to thank all the wonderful folks who visited from the greater Phila. area and joined us on game days. Now you know who we are, where we hang out, and what we do. We're glad you found us online, or thru a family member who is one of our many regulars. We hope you felt welcome and will cheer with us again soon.

Attention all Tampadelphia cats and kittens,

The 1 PM game with the 49ers was moved to 4 PM due to the bad weather in Philadelphia. They were expecting 12" to 15" of the fluffy white stuff up there in case you missed the news.

The game will NOT be shown locally here in the TB area, as the Bucs 4 PM game is scheduled for that slot.

I called the DoubleTree and alerted our hosts. Although we expected another packed house we will be putting out extra chairs so you can cheer our team with us before Christmas.
